This week's submission comes from Chris Straube from Holland, OH:

"Back in 1977 you could not buy any MX-related models, so I decided to make my own. I made almost every piece of these two bikes from balsa wood and plastic tube stock, carving the wood for the engines and cylinders. The plastic fenders were shaped from flat plastic stock, the seats were made from foam with cloth glued to it, and all the graphics were hand painted. Both bikes are replicas of Bob Hannah and Marty Smith's factory machines from the 1976 season. (Hannah's bike actually had number 39 on it, but he won the championship that year so I decided to put the number one) Each bike took approximately five to six months to build. They have been in storage for roughly thirty years. This would be really neat to see my models in Your Collection."
