Martin Davalos jump up 11 spots this week | | | We've reached the halfway point of the 2008 AMA Toyota Motocross Championships presented by FMF, and after six rounds we still see Monster Energy Kawasaki's James Stewart sitting alone at the top, receiving every available first-place vote. Stewart has yet to lose a moto, and with Rockstar/Makita Suzuki's Mike Alessi suffering a pretty serious injury at RedBud, Stewart may be well on his way to nailing down the third perfect season ever recorded in AMA history. Beyond that, the biggest move we see after the Michigan round is MDK/Muscle Milk/KTM's Martin Davalos, who shot up 11 spots to 14th. Moto XXX/Hooters Honda's Jeff Alessi jumped up six spots to 17th after a solid top 10 performance, and local boy Nick Wey moved closer to the top 10 after a solid ride aboard his MDK KTM450.
